The purpose of the KIDs List is to improve medication safety in children by identifying medications that may be inappropriate to use in pediatric patients. It was originally published in 2020 and was recently re-published in an updated format in 2025. The current version includes over 60 drugs and drug classes that should be avoided or used with caution in infants and children or in a specific subset of infants and children. An additional feature of the current version is the inclusion of a list of potentially inappropriate excipients.
